Ballinamore Club Notes
Comhghairdeas Maigh Eo!
Congratulations to Mayo GAA on winning the All-Ireland title after a remarkable 75-year wait.
This is a victory that generations of Mayo supporters have dreamed of, and it is thoroughly deserved. We hope all involved with Mayo GAA, from players and management to supporters at home and across the world, enjoy the celebrations that will undoubtedly follow.
One of our great club men, Andy Duffy, will certainly be looking down with a smile and celebrating this historic achievement. Mayo football meant so much to Andy, and this long-awaited success would have brought him immense pride and joy.
Enjoy every moment, Mayo. The wait is finally over.

RIP Peter Duignan
We were all deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Duignan.
Peter was a proud member of the Ballinamore team that achieved the remarkable feat of winning three successive Leitrim Senior Football Championships from 1967 to 1969.
Many of our players and supporters will also remember Peter from his years as a teacher in St. Felim’s, where he educated generations of local children and devoted countless hours to coaching school teams. Peter was also instrumental in the establishment of the Corn Breifne Schools Competition, with St. Felim’s enjoying many successes under his guidance and leadership.
Peter’s contribution to Ballinamore, both on and off the field, will be fondly remembered for many years to come. His commitment to his community, his passion for sport and education, and his dedication to young people left a lasting legacy.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Martha, his sons Pete, Francis and Ciarán, his daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother Marcus, and to all of his extended family and friends at this very sad time.
We ask all our supporters to keep Peter and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
