U16 Girls League Champions
We claimed the U16 Division 3 league title on Sunday following a hugely entertaining and
hardfought final against Mohill Ladies GFC, with the game decided by just a single point
after a cracking contest.
Both sides produced a great opening half, with plenty of quality football and some fine
scores taken throughout. Mohill finished the half strongly and went in nine points ahead at
the break, leaving us with plenty of work to do on the restart.
Credit to our girls, who showed tremendous heart and belief in the second half. We
responded with real intensity, gradually chipping away at the deficit through strong teamwork
and composure in front of goal. As momentum swung our way, we pushed on and built a
sixpoint lead, turning the game around in impressive fashion.
Mohill fought right to the end and added 12 in the closing stages, ensuring a tense finish all
the way to the final whistle. However, we stood firm under pressure, defended bravely when
it mattered most, and held out for a deserved onepoint victory.
This was a super competitive final that could have gone either way, and full credit to Mohill
who played their part in a fantastic game. Both teams did their clubs proud on the day.
We can be immensely proud of this group of players, whose commitment and teamwork
throughout the season were rewarded with a wellearned league win.

U14 Girls
A fantastic win for our u14 girls against Dromahair with a Score 4.16 to 2.5
The hard work and commitment from these girls is really starting to shine through — we
couldn’t be prouder.
They’re out there competing on a big pitch where some players are as young as 11, which
makes their performance even more impressive.
Well done girl

RIP
Everyone at Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of
Maureen Kelleher.
Maureen’s family have a strong connection with our club, with her grandchildren Mark, Maria
and Anna all current underage players with Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s. Her daughter
Michelle and son-in-law Paul have also been involved with underage teams in the club over
the years.
We ask all our members and supporters to keep Maureen’s husband Oliver and all the
Kelleher family, relatives and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
