The Annual Ballinamore Drama Festival Happens Every March for one
Drama-filled Week. This festial began in 1982
Dates for our 2026 Season: March 1- March 8
Island Theatre, Ballinamore.
Our festival, under the auspices of the Amateur Drama Council of Ireland (ADCI), hosts very talented amateur drama groups from various parts of the island of Ireland as they compete for an All Ireland title. For one week, the stage in Ballinamore’s Island Theatre comes alive with the best drama and comedy in the form of excellent live entertainment. Each night brings a new group and a new performance. And, if that is not enough, there is a touch of ‘Lovely Leitrim’ hospitality (which can take the form of deliciousness during intermission, emm?): And there’s the added bonus of the audience getting an ‘in’ on the thoughts of the festival’s adjudicator each night after the performance.
A festival not to be missed. Live entertainment at it’s best.
