BALLINAMORE FARMERS MARKET – Official Launch 8th December

 

Is held every Friday from 11am to 3pm at the Old Courthouse, opposite St. Patrick's Church. Come along and visit the stalls of local producers, selling fresh vegetables, free range eggs, sourdough bread, goat's cheese, fruits, plants, cakes, jams and books ...and more to come!    For stall enquiries call Jonathan on  085 175 4957

Christmas Whist Drive

 

The Christmas Whist Drive will be held on Thursday 7th December at 8.30pm in Ballinamore Community Centre. Everyone very welcome, so come along for a very festive night, with lots of prizes and a great raffle plus refreshments.

Christmas Food Appeal:



Due to the success of last year’s Food Appeal RehabCare Resource Centre will be holding a Food Appeal again this year with all donations going to St. Vincent de Paul. Donations can be dropped into the Resource Centre on New Golf Links Rd. up until Tuesday 19th of December. Examples of items include tinned food, biscuits, sweets, cakes, tea, coffee, pasta, rice etc. All donations greatly appreciated.

Scór na nÓg

The Scór na nÓg county final takes place on Sunday 10th Dec at 2pm. Ballinamore Sean O Heslins are looking for singers, reciters, ballad groups and dancers to represent the club at this final. We are also trying to put quiz teams together, 4 on a team. If you are interested in taking part  in Scór na nÓg you must be under 17 years on Jan 2018, for further information and to express interest please Contact Brid Sullivan.

Dr. Myles Dungan In Ballinamore Library

On Thursday 7th December, Leitrim County Library will host a presentation by Dr. Myles Dungan in Ballinamore at 8pm which will explore the role of “The Alpha Male In Irish History”.  Admission is free, for bookings please phone 071-9645566

 An Invitation – Solas Art Gallery

Visitation of the Sick and Housebound: Please note that the visitation of the sick and housebound will not take place this Thursday and Friday but on Thursday December14th and Friday December 15th

A meeting of Ballinamore Women’s Group

Takes place on Wednesday 6th December at 8pm. A beauty consultant will attend to give some beauty tips. It is also party night. All members are invited to attend.

Thank you as always girls and boys for your help.... just to finish it up now 

 

What a great Saturday evening spent in Ballinamore with so many enjoying the Festive feeling... thank you to so many people too many to name ..but you know who you are ... the elves who every year come out in the cold after a days work to make the town look so good and their families for allowing them .. to all our sponsors with out the financial help it would not be possible .. (apologies to Sean and Kathleen Creamer for not displaying their name on sponsorship list and thank you) to those supplying power and to all who participated on the night from music to dancing and stewards and the youngsters who volunteered too.. and a big thank you to the fire brigade for bringing Santa to town and of course thank you Santa .. there is hours of work put into this every year and we always need help so if anyone would like to get involved please let us know these lights must come down too ... we will also need help this Saturday 9th for the bucket collection so if you have an hour please call Dawn or David ( Poor Scholar) ... and last but not least A very Happy Christmas to you all .

in Ballinamore Libary Wednesday's 10.00a.m.-12.000p.m. €2 per week (for tea, coffee, biscuits etc.) All parents/grandparents or child minders who are in the company of babies or toddlers are invited to come along for a cup of tea and a chat while the children mix and play!
