AGM of Ballinamore Fishing and Tourism Ltd

The AGM will be held on Monday 4th December at 8pm.  We would like to invite all members and any interested persons to attend.  The venue will be in the newly renovated Tourism Office (Old Health Centre). 

 

Citizens Information Presentation – Ballinamore Library

There will be a Citizens Information presentation hosted by Leitrim Citizens Information, at 2.45pm on Monday 20th November in Ballinamore Library.Leitrim Citizens Information provides information on your rights and entitlements in relation to government services, e.g. Medical Cards, Pensions, PRSI records, LPT, etc.  This is a free service.  In Leitrim and have offices located in Carrick on Shannon and Manorhamilton with a weekly outreach service in Mohill.

Christmas Whist Drive

The Christmas Whist Drive will be held on Thursday 7th December at 8.30pm in Ballinamore Community Centre.  Everyone very welcome, so come along for a very festive night, with lots of prizes and a great raffle plus refreshments.

 

 An Invitation – Solas Art Gallery

Come along to Solas Art Gallery, Ballinamore, on the Main Street, above the Flower Shop and opposite the Library, to the Christmas Group Exhibition an eclectic mix of art work from the gallery members. Ballinamore Women’s Club

 Ballinamore Women’s Christmas Dinner takes place on Saturday 2nd December in Kennedys.

 Christmas Lights.

 So time is ticking and its getting pretty exciting... However there is a slight change this year.. We are turning on the lights on Saturday 2nd Dec and we are changing the time to 6:15.... Hopefully Santa can make it !!! Get the Christmas outfits ready and cancel everything.. Please remember there maybe fireworks so be careful with frightened pets. And if any of you would like to help out either on the night or with the erection of the lights please contact. Dawn newcomers always welcome.... and new ideas for the night also welcome.

Month of the Holy Souls:

In November we remember and pray for the faithful departed in a special way. In our churches a number of masses will be offered for the deceased members of our families. It would be appreciated if you would bring in the list of those you wish to be prayed for with donation for next week end (envelope in your offertory Box).  These envelopes may be put into the weekly Offertory Baskets or left in special box close to altar before each mass.   

 

Confirmation 2018:

An very  important information meeting will take place upstairs in Ballinamore Hall on Wednesday 22nd November for all Parents of young people due to make their Confirmation in 2018.  The meeting will begin at 8pm .  Looking forward to seeing you all then. 

 

Bereavement Mass

a big thank you to all who took part in our Mass on Friday night last -  to all who prepared the Liturgy, the Choir who added so much to the Mass - to Fr Gerard Cryan who concelebrated, to  Fr Sean who made it a very special Mass, to all who got the Community Centre ready and helped out on the night - well done.

Volunteer Befriending Project –

 

Leitrim Development Company run a volunteer befriending project, which matches volunteers with older people who are feeling lonely or isolated, to visit once a week for about an hour for a friendly chat and some company.
