Ballinamore Area Community Council Elections:

Calling all community groups in the Drumreilly and Fenagh area.  We are currently seeking two reps from each area to be elected onto the Board of the Community Council. Recently Deceased We pray for the soul of John O’Reilly nephew of Sr. Bridie (Ballinamore) whose funeral took place in New York on Thursday. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Congratulations We welcome Colton Thomas Donnelly into our church community after receiving the sacrament of Baptism. Congratulations to his parents.
Confessions:   Sat. After 11am mass, before and after Sat 7pm mass, anytime on request.
Eucharistic Adoration every Friday from after 9am mass to 1.30pm. All welcome.
Popes Collection Sunday 26th June
Graveyard Dumping: It has been brought to my attention that there has been a number of incidents regarding dumping in our graveyards. We would ask everyone to take home their grass cuttings, trimmings, old flowers, wreaths, pots & any building material waste. Please respect this request.
Annual Visitation and Blessing of Graves : will take place in Oughteragh cemetery on Sunday 14th August withmass at 2.30pm in cemetery and in Aughnasheelin on Sunday 31st  July with mass at 10am. Blessing of Graves follows mass.
Notices - Church Parking: Please avoid double parking when attending Church. This has resulted in some people not being able to move their vehicles & others not being able to access their entrances.

"Medjugorje afternoon of prayer in the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cavan on Sunday June 26th from 3.00pm to 6.30pm - 35th anniversary of Our Lady's apparition in Medjugorje. Celebrant:  Fr John Hogan, OCDS (Adm Rathkenny parish, diocese of Meath). Holy Sacrifice of the mass @ 3pm followed by Eucharistic adoration and benediction

Ballinamore Library Events.

The Knitting Group meets in Ballinamore Library every Tuesday morning to share knitting tips, advice and enjoy a cup of tea. Why not join them next Tuesday 21st June and see on display some of the lovely work they have produced.  All Welcome On Tuesday 21st at 7pm you have an opportunity to drop into the library and see the film “Jimmy’s Hall “ Even for those who have seen it before it is definitely a film worth seeing again and is the last in the current weekly Film/Movie evenings until the Autumn.  All Welcome. Free admission.
Summer Star Summer Reading Initiative for children starts on Monday 20th June. Entry forms and further information available from the library.

Lecture in Carrigallen

Leitrim County Library Service welcomes author and historian Sinead McCoole to Carrigallen, where she will deliver a lecture entitled “1916: The Leitrim Links” on Saturday 25th June in Bredagh Old School at 7.30p.m. All welcome. Event is free, but booking is advisable. Contact 049-4339188.

Ballinamore Musical Society

Copies of this year’s Musical Drama 'Erin go Bragh' (1916 tribute) are still available in various outlets in town. (SuperValu, Murphys, The Nature Trail and Smiths). The show was an outstanding success last February and any visitors who may not have seen it then can now purchase a copy of the DVD and enjoy it at their leisure. (Cost is only €10)

Dawns Art Camp

8 years running and still going strong... Dawns Art Camp will start on Tuesday the 28 th June till Fri 1st July.. Junior camp   1st to 3 rd class. From 9:30 - 12 and Senior camp 4th 6 th at 1- 3:30.. SOH is having a table quiz in priors on Friday the 24th of June at 9 o clock in order to raise funds for underage training and trips to feile and Croke Park. We would appreciate if as many as possible people would organise teams to support the event

Youth Summer Festival

The Youth 2000 Summer Festival is a Catholic event for 18 - 35 year olds which will be taking place from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th July 2016 at the Cistercian College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. This is a brilliant weekend where you can learn about your Faith and meet new friends. There will be an information evening in Aughavas parochial house (beside the church) on Friday 24th June at 9pm about the festival. Thinking about taking a year out?

Not sure what college course to apply for; Maybe even thinking about a change of career.…  Why not train to be an Outdoor Activity Instructor with Cavan and Monaghan ETB. This is a great course if you are interested in getting into the outdoors. The course is 43 weeks full time and will be starting in August 2016.
