Darts

The final of the League Cup Competition was played last Friday night in Ossie’s, it was a week late taking place, I missed the game myself, but from what I was told it was worth waiting the extra week for.  It was a cracking final going all the way to the last game of nine, McGirl’s winning it by (5) games to four.  Best for winners were Michael McGirl, Enda Lyons, Damien McGovern, Eamon Benison and Jimmy Walsh.  Rest of McGirl’s team Shane O’Neill, Gerry Mahon, Tony McHugh, Greg McGovern, Andy Ralph, Eugene Maguire, Barney McAdam.  For the runners up Michael Hearty, Wayne Roberts, Ian Flynn and Evan Gallagher, played very well, rest of the Poor Scholar team Charlie O’Donnell, Connor Flynn, Ciaran Hearty, John Christy, David McCabe, John Curry, Ollie Gallagher, Pauric Gallagher.  Thanks to everyone who supported our raffle, thanks to Ossie for sponsorship and refreshments.  Thanks to the markers and all who helped in any way.  That’s the darts over for another season; hope to see everyone back on the oche in October
