MEN’S HEALTH EVENT
Leitrim Development Company and Drumreilly Development Association will host:
A Morning on Men’s Health’ in Drumreilly Community Centre from 10am-2pm on Monday, 16th November. This event will include free one to one consultations and health checks together with talks on healthy eating, looking after your mental health and information on the new ‘men on the move programme’ by the Sports Partnership.

FILM HOUR: BALLINAMORE LIBRARY

6TH ANNUAL 5K FUN RUN/WALK 

Breffni ICA will host their Annual 5k Fun Run/Walk on Sunday 15th November at 2pm SHARP from Killenummery Hall

Proceeds this year in aid of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (Sligo Branch) and Breffni ICA. Registration is from 1pm in Killenummery Hall. Adults €10, Students & 16-18yr olds €2, Children Free. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments and spot prizes in hall afterwards. Please note race is not being timed.

MEDJUGORJE  2016 – FR VINCENT CONNAUGHTON P.P.
Fr  Vincent  Connaughton  from  the  parish  of  Killenummery  (close  to  Dromahair)will  lead  apilgrimage  to  Medugorje  from  Wednesday  17th Augustto  Wednesday   24th  August  from  Knock  Airport.  The  all in  cost  for  the  week  pilgrimage  is  679euro if  you  pay  before  the   11th  of  December  it  will be 100euro  less.  Please contact  Hubert  Mc  Hugh  Group  Leader  on  0872201879  or    Louise  at  JWT  to book  your  pilgrimage  and  avail  of  your  cheaper  fare.  Louise  can  be  contactedat  012410860.  This  will  be  a  lovely  experience,  and  especially  in  the  year  of  Mercy  that  Pope  Francis  will launch  in  December  2015  which will  last for  one  year.  Looking  forward  to  seeing  you.

 

BALLINAMORE PARENT & TODDLER

Situated in the old medical clinic (middle of the town, on a temporary basis!)

Every Wednesday 10.00a.m.-12.00p.m.  €2 per week (for tea, coffee, biscuits etc.)

LOOKING FOR ELVES

A bit early I know, but thankfully the work has being going on all year round towards this year’s Christmas Lights display. As November kicks in we will be getting closer and closer to the turning on of the Christmas Lights on Sunday December 6th. We are looking for help again this year as this occasion would not happen without our dedicated volunteers. So if you fancy wakening your Christmas spirit let Dawn know on 086-3115647. The real work begins on the 15th November.

DRUMEELA GARDEN CLUB
Next meeting of Drumeela Garden Club is on Wednesday 11th November 2015 in Teach Duchais, Drumeela at 8:30pm (note that due to the time change, monthly Garden Club meetings will take place at the earlier time of 8:30pm for the winter months).  Guest speaker this month is Gail Quinn from the Four Seasons Garden Centre in Ballinamore.  Gail is a very knowledgeable and popular speaker at Drumeela Garden Club and has previously given very informative talks on a wide range of topics, this month she will talk on ‘Selecting and Caring for Houseplants’, and she will have a question and answer session after her talk, where she will advise on any houseplant or garden problems.  Gail will also have a selection of plants and other stock for sale, and will be offering a discount to attendees on the night.  All are welcome to attend, club membership is available for €15 for the year which includes entrance to all monthly meetings, or visitors can attend for €3 per night.  Tea and refreshments are included, a raffle will take place on the night and everybody is welcome, especially new members.

MASS FOR THE BEREAVED OF THE PARISH
Will be celebrated in St. Marys Church Aughnasheelin Fri Nov 20th at 8pm . All are invited, especially those who have lost loved ones in the past year.
Month of the Holy Souls: In November we remember and pray for the faithful departed in a special way. In our churches a number of masses will be offered for the deceased members of our families. It would be appreciated if you would bring in the list of those you wish to be prayed for next week end.  Envelopes with lists inserted are available in the Church Porch. Please take one and fill in the names of your deceased and return envelopes with offering to the church  at your earliest convenience.   For record purposes it would be appreciated if you would  include  your regular envelope number on these special envelopes.  These envelopes may be added to the weekly Offertory Baskets or left in special box close to alter before each mass.

BALLINAMORE COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Enrolment will take place in Ballinamore Community School on Thursday 19th November 2015 7:00- 9pm. Parents wishing to enrol students are asked to bring the students PPS Number and a copy of their Birth Certificate.

DRUMSHANBO ENTERPRISE CENTRE AUTUMN CLASSES
Part-time Computer classes will commence in Drumshanbo Enterprise Centre on the week starting Monday the 9th of November. There will be a Beginners Word Processing (Fetac/QQI level 3) and Improvers Word Processing (Fetac/QQI level 4) class. There will also be a Fetac/QQI level 3 class in Personal and Interpersonal skills. The classes are funded by Sligo Mayo Leitrim ETB. LEITRIM FARMERS

Leitrim Farmers through their farming practices deliver environmental goods as well as agricultural. Farmers in the townlands of Carrickaport, Scrabbagh, Sheebeg and Coraughrim are now invited to take part in an EU funded project which pays farmers to deliver this good quality environment.  Farmers are not required to carry out any specific actions or management, farming is left to the farmer and payment is awarded on the quality of the environment (max rate EUR350/ha). Results from week four of the Ballinamore Dart League are as follows:

McGirl’s (7) – Poor Scholar (2) – Drumcoura (3) – Jackie’s (6) – Bank Bar (3) – Fenagh (6).  Points total - Jackie’s is on top with (23)pts – McGirl’s are second on (20)pts – Banks Bar and Fenagh joint third on (18)pts – Drumcoura are fifth with (15)pts and The Poor Scholar is sixth on (14)pts.  So nothing much between the teams with only one game to play in the first round.

GROW MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME
