BALLINAMORE AREA COMMUNITY COUNCIL LTD
would like to say a huge thank you to all who contributed to our Church Gate collections last weekend.  We are responsible for the upkeep of the Sports Complex, the Den and the Enterprise Units at Golf Links Road. All monies collected will be used for maintenance and the betterment of all on our facilities for the entire community.  The Community Council appreciate the communities support very much.

 

BALLINAMORE BOXING CLUB NEWS:

Our Boxing Club has secured a grant to renovate and improve facilities in our Club.  Unfortunately due to the ongoing work we have been unable to use our club this month but things are progressing well.  We will be holding a Church Gate collection on the weekend of 24th/25th October and all monies collected will be used for better equipment and hiring of buses etc for our young people.  We know there are huge financial demands on parents and we hope that all monies collected will help defray expenses during the year.

is running an Outdoor Activity Instructor Traineeship. The course is open to anyone over 18 years of age and has an interested in outdoor pursuits. ATHLETIC CLUB

The Leitrim Cross Country Championships take place at St Felim's Ground on Saturday next, October 24th, at 2.30 p.m. There are races for Under 11, 13, 15, 17 and Over 17. This year to mark the Golden Jubilee of the Club in addition to the County medals Special Commemorative Medals will be awarded to the first three Ballinamore area runners in each race.  Teams will be selected for the Connacht Championships after these races and all runners welcome. Training on Tuesday and Thursday next at 7.00 p.m. in the Sports Hall and St Felim's.

 

BALLINAMORE MUSICAL SOCIETY

BALLINAMORE CHILDCARE LTD
Ballinamore Childcare ltd are holding their annual Halloween party fundraiser in Ballinamore Community Centre on Friday the 30th October from 6pm - 8pm. There will be fun traditional Halloween games and treats galore for all the children. We will also be holding a raffle on the night with some great prizes. Everyone is welcome to attend. ATHLETIC CLUB ACTIVITY

The Leitrim AAI Inter Club Cross Country Championships will be held in St Felim’s Grounds, Ballinamore, on Saturday October 24th at 2.30 p.m.   Entries will be taken at the venue from 2.00 p.m.    The Events are-   Under 11 (born 2005 or later) 1200m;     Under 13 (born 2003 or 2004)   2000m;   Under 15 (born 2001 or 2002)   3000m;   Under 17 (born 1999 or 2000)      4000m boys, 3000 girls; Over 17   5000m  men,   3000m ladies.   

Leitrim County Medals will be awarded to the first three individuals and first three teams in each race.   In addition, to mark 50 years of Ballinamore Athletic Club the first three Ballinamore AC Area finishers in each race will be awarded Special Ballinamore A C Golden Jubilee Medals.    Following the races teams will be selected to represent Ballinamore A.C. in the Connacht Championships to be held at Moyne Community School and Forest Park, Boyle next month. New runners particularly welcome.

 

FRIENDS AND PAST PUPILS OF ST. MOGUE’S COLLEGE, BAWNBOY.
In the aftermath of the recent despicable robbery at the school, much help is needed to cover payments due immediately and in the short term. “ Friends of St. Mogue’s” community group is appealing to your generosity.

Our Leitrim Shorin-Ryu Karate Club is back training after our Summer break. We are now enrolling new students from age six up.
