CARING FOR CONOR    
A special night of fundraising will take place on Friday 11th September in Longford Greyhound Stadium at 8pm. This is to raise much needed funds for Conor McGloin who suffered a global brain injury affecting all aspects of his development. Conor is son of Susan and Sean, Grandson of Annette and the late Michael Martin of Ballinamore and Terence and Margaret McGloin of Kinlough. Please support this very worthwhile cause. It’s open to all the family with family admission for €10, 11 races are scheduled and there’s opportunities to sponsor dogs and races for those that cannot attend on the night. Tickets are available through John Ryan, Helena D’Arcy, Janette McManus, Joey Smith, John O’Connell and Tommy Moran. Donations also welcomed via Ballinamore Credit Union.

LAST YEAR IRISH GRAVEYARDS.IE  CONDUCTED A SURVEY OF AUGHNASHEELIN & OUGHTERAGH CEMETERIES.
Along with providing an up to date map of each cemetery, they also provide a service to view family plots on line.To access details on line, first enter
www.irishgraveyards.ie then click on graveyard search, then select graveyard under Leitrim. Click Aughnasheelin or Oughteragh as appropriate, then enter family name and first name of the deceased, then click search, and a picture of your family plot should appear on screen with the names of those who are buried in the plot. We hope this will be a welcome service particularly for those living abroad who may wish to view their family plot especially at anniversary times. As  we approach  Cemetery Sunday  you are advised to check details on cemetery map, re-correct location of grave, & the correct details of the deceased.    Even if you are unsure of the exact location of the grave but know the general area please indicate location of grave with a circle.     For those who know that family members are buried in one of the cemeteries but have no knowledge of location of grave, by providing details of the  deceased it will mean that they will be included, and may be accessed, if you  wish.    Appropriate sheets are available for any alterations or changes. KIDS BRICKS CLUB: BALLINAMORE LIBRARY
Kids Bricks Club is a creative brick building and social activity club for girls and boys, and is suitable for children aged 4-12 taking place in Ballinamore Library on Thursday 20th August from 3 to 4pm. This event is free, but early booking is essential as places are limited. To make a booking call the library at 071 9645566 to avoid disappointment.  Workshops provide children with the opportunity to create designs from their imagination. Our challenges call for teamwork to build the tallest towers, the longest bridges or the most mini-figures.  Remember Kiddies Movie each Saturday at 2.30pm admission and all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The St Felims Minors will open their defence of the championship this Wednesday at 19:00 in the park against Gortletteragh, this was due to be the lads second match, but the first against St Bridget’s last Wednesday was called off due to the weather.
Ballinamore Festival

Well done to former player Cormac O’Suilleabhain and current incumbent Tommy Spike McCormack who officially opened this year Family festival on Sunday gone. The rain stayed away and both regaled the crowd with their own memories of festivals of yesteryear with aplomb and helped launch this years packed calendar which includes a number of GAA related events such as the over 40’s football which should give the youngsters a glimpse of some of the stars of the past.

Well done to the senior lads who were in action on Saturday evening in Carrick in their final group game of this year’s intermediate championship.

Ballinamore SOH Underage Draw

This years’ draw will take place in Prior’s @ High Street on Friday 18th September. Tickets are €5 each and a book of 5 for €20 and are on sale from underage players. Ballinamore Running & Walking Group

Meet at ROR Fitness at 8:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can walk, jog or run. Refreshments will be served afterwards. There will be a weekly donation to Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Information Technology Skills Course.
Ballinamore Development Co. Enterprise Centre : The following Course is scheduled to commence 15th September 2015 (subject to numbers), Information Technology Skills Course , Level 3 Q Q I Certificate in : Information/Communication/Technology skills.
Word Processing: Typing, editing text, saving documents and printing.
Computer Literacy: Learning about theory elements of the computer/Internet/Hardware/Software.
Internet Skills: Using the internet to look for information and setting up and using an email account.
Spread Sheets: Using the computer to create spreadsheets and charts.
Communications: Skills for reading, writing and interacting with people.
Mathematics: Introduction to maths covering addition/subtraction/multiplication/fractions/percentages/decimals and drawing to scale.
Each Module will take 6/7 weeks to complete: running for 2 days per week ( Tuesday & Wednesday from 10am to 1pm, 3 hours per morning)

 NOTE All Modules must be completed to achieve full award.
Induction Date: 8th September 2015 from 10am to 11:30am.
