IRISH GRAVEYARDS.IE
Last year Irish Graveyards.ie
conducted a survey of Aughnasheelin & Oughteragh cemeteries.

Along with providing an up to date map of each cemetery, they also provide a service to view family plots on line.

To access details on line, first enter www.irishgraveyards.ie then click on graveyard search, then select graveyard under Leitrim. Click Aughnasheelin or Oughteragh as appropriate, then enter family name and first name of the deceased, then click search, and a picture of your family plot should appear on screen with the names of those who are buried in the plot.

We hope this will be a welcome service particularly for those living abroad who may wish to view their family plot especially at anniversary times.

As we approach Cemetery Sunday  you are advised to check details on cemetery map, re-correct location of grave, & the correct details of the deceased.    Even if you are unsure of the exact location of the grave but know the general area please indicate   location of grave  with a circle.     For those who know that family members are buried in one of the cemeteries but have no knowledge of location of grave, by providing  details of the  deceased it will mean that they will be included, and may be accessed, if you  wish.    Appropriate sheets are available for any alterations or changes. If you wish to have a memorial card included on website or for any query related to family plot or map, please contact Irish Graveyards directly in the following ways.   Tel 094 936 6912  Mob 087 207 6248   Email: graveyardsurveyors@gmail.com  Post: 6 Station Road, Balla, Castlebar, Co.Mayo.   After Cemetery Sunday an up to date map will be placed in the Cemetery.
