Kayak Run Easter Sunday
20th April  Easter Sunday  is the D Day for the Kayak Run! This is similar to a triathlon except instead of the swim one does a stint in a kayak. The kayaks will be supplied. The kayaks are sit on kayak. The sit on Kayaks are easy to manoeuvre and very safe. There will be stewards from Civil Defence and Rivermania on the water, safety boats and coaches. All the kayaks are doubles so you will be doing the kayak part with someone else so it will be good fun!  The kayak part is only 1 K.
The event starts off with a  7K run then a 1K Kayak and then a 27K cycle! You know you are up to it. You will be kicking yourself if you miss out on this event! Go on do it! You can always consider doing it as a relay and then you will only have to do a third of it. Go on be devil DO it.

Litter Busters
A group of hard working and dedicated people from Ballinamore area collecting litter from the local beauty spot Garadice Lake. The fishing area and walk ways were littered with all kinds of mess, from old televisions  to bags of used nappies.  Not a pleasant job, but after hours of picking, the area looked much improved and back to its natural state. The Ballinamore Tourism Association hope to make people aware of the damage that is done to beautiful amenities such as Garadice Lake and please be more responsible with their rubbish.
