BALLINAMORE MUSICAL SOCIETY
Dates for your diary

'Things are looking up'

This is the title of one of the songs from the Musical Society's current production 'Crazy for You' which will be staged in Ballinamore Community Centre starting on February 22nd next. Now that the country is on the move again and 'things are looking up' we can look forward to a hugely entertaining show.

For family and friends living away from Ballinamore the following are the dates for this year’s show ‘Crazy for You’ Sat 22nd, Sun 23rd Wed 26th Thurs 27th Fri 28th Feb and Sat 1st March. It promises to be a super night’s entertainment, packed full of comedy, song and dance. Don’t miss it!


SOLAS ART GALLERY
An invitation to our next opening at the Solas Art Gallery in Ballinamore. It's a twin solo exhibition 'Works in Colour - Picking  up the Pieces' by Anja Nohlen and 'Sea Change' by John Gunning. The exhibitions open at 7.30pm next Friday (Feb 7th) and as usual refreshments will be served. Hope you can make it along but if not you can call in to see it before these exhibitions close on March 8th.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL
St Brigid’s Conference Ballinamore would like to thank each and everyone who contributed so generously to our Annual Christmas Church Gate Collection. We thank the people of Corraleehan, Aughawillan, Drumreilly, Aughnasheelin, Fenagh and Ballinamore and all who helped out in whatever way. The total monies collected were €6386.
We thank Philomena Earley and the students of Fatima School who raised €310 and to Anne Marie Madden and her students who brought in food to the value of approx €300. We are grateful to the teacher’s and students for their generous initiative, Thank You.
We thank the staff of SuperValue and Tesco Ballinamore who collected and supplied SVDP with clothes, food and toys. We also thank you for allowing us to have a collection outside your stores and again thanks to the public who gave a combined total of €1342. We wish SuperValu and Tesco continued success in 2014.
Finally to the people who gave donations, clothes and household items for distribution we say thank you for your generosity.
People’s generosity this year was fantastic and it helped to make Christmas very special for almost 100 homes in our community. We thank all of you who supported us in any way throughout the year. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS COMMITTEE
We are taking this last opportunity to thank all involved in the success of the Christmas Lights 2013. As this is a growing annual event we will need continuous community support, so new volunteers are always welcome. The committee and Credit Union are still excepting donation for next year display. This meeting will organise a schedule of events the area will participate at County Community Games.
Events include Athletics, Art, Team Sports from Gaelic Football, Badminton, Dance etc.

PRAYER VIGIL
The monthly prayer vigil will be taking place in the Convent of Mercy, Mohill, this Friday 7th February. It will commence with the Holy Rosary at 8pm followed by Mass at 8.30pm. Confession will also be available. Everyone welcome, new comers especially welcome
