Welcome Rebeccalee
a new and very welcome addition to the McTague family arrived on the 11th September to Kathryn and Eugene, and this beautifulbaby’s name is Rebeccalee.  There will be a bit of competition now for her cousin Jacob!

The next Monthly Meeting takes place in Mean Scoil Fatima on Tuesday 2nd October  at 9.00pm and this is also the date of theA.G.M,  There are a number of items up for discussion:
*The €100 charge for the correcfion of the mock exams.  At present  the papers for the Junior Cert and Leaving Cert are being sent

to other Schools for correction..  This only started about 15 years ago.   Do you have an opinion, please come to the next

 *The lack of progress on the New School.
*The Book Rental Scheme, can we advance it a stage further?
the A.G.M. of the Ballinamore and district dart league, takes place on Friday night next the 21st of September in McGirl’s bar,

starting time is 9.30pm.  All teams who wish to take part in this year’s league, please have someone at the meeting.
SOLAS ART GALLERY - The Ballinamore Community Arts Group are celebrating Culture night on Fri 21 Sept with its usual liveliness.

Starting at 7.30 with music from multi talented group, Lionadh. That is Lionadh Walsh, Marcia Kenny and Sven Paetz who play an

eclectic mix of 40s swing, traditional and lots more with their own twist. Followed by a talk by Sandra Vernon on some perhaps

lesser known things round Ballinamore;  some fabulous guitar playing from Leonardo Torres; and Angela McCabe reading from a

recently published collection of poems. Some refreshments and music by Lionadh, Louis McLoughlin will delight all with his

experience of fruit bats and the MC Isabella Bassani will give us some songs in her native Italian. Closing with a last set from

Lionadh, a good night is promised. Please be prompt so one gets a good seat and doesn’t disturb the performers.
