Minister of State Michael Ring officially opens the new Canal Side Walk/cycle way
the Minister responsible for Sports and Tourism officially opened this very attractive canal walk, giving the people in the area and tourists who enjoy walking the opportunity to leisurely maunder along the canal pathway (approx 6 kilometres) .  The other canal walk (towards the golf club) has for many years given locals great pleasure and a great source of exercise in fair and not so fair weather.  Walking and cycling have become so popular in the past years and I don’t think you could get nicer conditions to do both.
