The main pitch will be closed for all activity from this Tuesday 13 July to Friday 23 July for ten days in order to repair and reseed areas of the pitch. All training and matches must take place on the back pitch. Absolutely no exceptions.

Choral Conducting Summer Schoolclosing date for applications, Wednesday 21st July
The Association of Irish Choirs, University of Limerick presents its 30th Annual Choral Conducting Summer School for all conductors, teachers, students, choral enthusiasts and musicians. The Summer School will take place from Sunday 15th to Friday 20th August in the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in the stunning surrounds of the University of Limerick. Artistic Director is Bernie Sherlock and guest master teachers are Peter Erdei and Gabriella Thész. Course tutors include Martin Barrett, Ite O’Donovan and Bernie Sherlock. The course is delivered on 5 levels, beginner to advanced so there really is something for everyone. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 21st July. Anniversary Mass
Fiona Duignan’s anniversary mass is on Saturday July 21st at 10am.

North West Hospice Fundraising Walk

The total amount raised to date is €2,900.  There are still a few cards outstanding so PLEASE return them this week to Maureen or to the Credit Union as this money most be forwarded to the North West Hospice before the end of the week.  A HUGE thank you to all concerned.
Ballinamore Agricultural Show Society
A meeting of the society will be held in the Community Centre on Wednesday 21st July at 9.15pm.  The main items on the Agenda will be preparations for Show Day on Tuesday 10th August in Creamer’s Field, Castleroggy.  The meeting will preceded by a photographic session/press night at 9pm and everybody associated with the show is requested to attend on time.  This is the 50th Show since the event was reorganized in 1960 and a special programme will be provided to mark the occasion.  We would appreciate photographs/articles/memoirs etc that might be included in the programme – deadline is Tuesday 3rd August.

Darts Club – Sincere Thanks
on behalf of the committee of the fund raising function held last Friday night for Barry Morse and family, I would like to thank every who supported the function, send donations, sponsored the raffle and any one who helped in any way.  Thanks once again.

Church of Ireland
The Church of Ireland, Church Street, Ballinamore, Sunday service is at 12.15pm every Sunday except on the 4th Sunday which is held in Drumreilly Church, Drumreilly.


Ladies zen night out
the time is nearly here again for our famous annual festival and once again we have a great night out just for the ladies.  On Thursday12th of August at 8pm enjoy a great night out with your friends in the Commercial Hotel,  we are planning  a big night of entertainment with some tips on looking our best and maybe even getting your cards read. There is something for all the ladies with lots of new ideas this year.
